I just love it when my girl pulls out her mixer! I know that means we are all about to partake in some yummy eatin’!
When our daughter was very young she always loved being in the kitchen with me and her grandma. If we were cooking something, she was right there with us helping.
A couple of years ago for her birthday, she asked for a “real” mixer. And she said it had to be teal in color. Well, mama didn’t have a lot of luck finding the teal mixer, but I did find a pretty silver one and added cute teal vinyl decals to it. Which, by the way, are now starting to peel off because it used so much. I’ll be pulling out my lemon essential oil pretty soon to get the sticky residue off of it, but that will be another blog post! 😉
Last year for her daddy’s birthday she asked if she could make his cake. I of course said yes, because this girl can bake!!
She made him a delicious, melt-in-your-mouth, peanut butter cake.
Y’all, this cake, OH-EM-GEE!! It literally melted in your mouth. It was the most moist cake I think I’ve ever tasted. And don’t get me started on the peanut butter frosting…I don’t even really like peanut butter and I would’ve literally licked the bowl if her daddy hadn’t already taken care of that for us! 🙂
Our little cook was super proud of her finished masterpiece, and we were too!! ❤️
It turned out amazing! And it was SO yummy!!! This was her first time making this recipe and it definitely won’t be her last. I have a feeling everyone in the family is going to start requesting this cake to be made by her for their birthdays too! 🙂
As you can see, her daddy was super excited to dig in!
I would love to hear if you gave this cake a try and how everyone liked it!
